The excursion to Venice gives us the opportunity to get right into the city centre, avoiding long walks or time wasting transfers to St.Mark’s square.
We leave Jesolo by private coach in the morning (pick up from 8.30 am until 9.00 am) and head for Punta Sabbioni, the head terminal to Venice.
We cross the river Sile, which runs from its source near Treviso into the sea at the lighthouse end of Jesolo. First village we come to is "Cavallino", name originated because in
the distant past horses were bred in this area.
After Cavallino we drive through a series of small villages, with the Adriatic sea on our left and the venetian lagoon on our right. This is an area of campsites.
After approx. 10 miles we arrive at the end of this short peninsula where we leave the coach to start the second part of our journey for a scenic cruise across the lagoon of Venice.
This cruise takes about 30 minutes and we can enjoy the views of some of the most important island of the lagoon such as Lido, the beach of Venice and the place where the Film Festival is held.
Then there can be seen also the island of St. Andrea with its barraks and St. George right in front of St.Mark’s square.

Our landing stage is only 10 minutes’walk from the square and once there we begin our programme which consists of a walking tour of the central area with explanations by our city-guide.
